Mr. Lincoln seemed to enjoy the southwestern VA town of Gladeville, 1863 (Wise VA). The visitors to the Battles at Wise re-enactment seemed to enjoy the presentation of Dennis Boggs as Abraham Lincoln. Lola Roberts appeared as Mary Todd Lincoln and was an instant hit.
A critically acclaimed presentation to delight audiences of all ages. Dennis Boggs presents an enlightened, informative, and educational look at the life of the 16th President as it might have been told by Abraham Lincoln himself.
From Lincoln’s birth in the wilderness of Kentucky to his early years in Indiana and Illinois…from storekeeper to self-taught lawyer and politician…through his years as President during the Civil War and his death at the hands of an assassin in Ford’s Theater.
Dennis Boggs has researched countless books and papers and has diligently designed a presentation that encompasses fifty-six years of Abraham Lincoln’s life.
Dennis will open the Gladeville Soldier’s Ball on Friday, July 11th at 8:00 p.m. arriving by carriage and dancing with the ladies to the music of Mean Mary and Frank. He will also be present at the Capture of Gladeville and will give several presentations throughout Saturday, July 12th.
